Hazel Morales and I did it again. We took one of my plays from 10 MINUTE PLAYS FOR KIDS OF ALL AGES and adapted it into a mini musical. The kids presented HOMESICK ARMAND the tale of a little pills bugs adventures trying to make it home to the front yard from the backyard after a finger involuntarily displaces it. The kids did a fantastic job. And as always Hazel upped her game. 

We're thrilled to have her for one more adaption before the season ends and it will be back to 10 minute plays.

It was my privilege again to organize and oversee the 2025 ART DAY planning committee for our SCBWI SoCal Chapters Art Day 2025 held at LCAD (Laguna College of Art and Design. It was a great day and so much fun. Although I was busy making sure things went as planned, we had inspired keynote speakers and creative instructors to keep our attendees busy with creative play and learning. 

There's nothing like a beautiful setting to inspire the mind when writing. My critique group went to Napa for a weekend writing retreat, February 14th-Feb 17th, and enjoyed the beauty of vineyard views. It was a productive weekend of escape and focused writing. I'm so grateful for my group. We've been meeting every Monday for three years and have accomplished so much. I am a better writer because of these amazing ladies. (Tina, Christina, and Nicole!) ​

February 20th, Griffith Playhouse did it again! We had another fantastic showcase called JACK AND THE GIANT TOOTHACHE. We took another play from the 10 MINUTES PLAYS FOR KIDS OF ALL AGES Volume #2 and adapted it to a mini musical. The kids had fun and the parents loved it. When I have a chance I'll make some clips everyone to see.
